Tongits Offline (Tong-its) is a highly popular 3-player rummy game that has become a beloved leisure activity in the Philippines. Originating in Pangasinan in the mid-1980s, where it was known as Tung-it, this game bears similarities to both the American card game Tonk, as well as Mahjong and Poker.
The goal of Tongits Offline is to strategically draw and discard cards in order to form sets and runs, while also minimizing the number of unmatched cards remaining in your hand. Players must also be wary of being "Burned" or accumulating excessive scores when the central stack is empty.
